I'm Lindsay
Originally from London, I started my career as a professional dancer when a lower spine injury encouraged me to focus on teaching. Pilates helped ease the pain in my lower back and I fell in love with it. I went on to complete my training with STOTT Pilates at One KX in London and began teaching the incredible benefits of the practice! Alongside barre and dance fitness, I continued my CEC's with Pre/Post Partum STOTT Pilates certifications. As my client list was building in London I had the opportunity to move to NYC and took the leap across the pond!
Once I arrived I quickly realised mat pilates wasn't as popular in NYC as it was in London. I worked at a Manhattan studio and completed my reformer and cadillac training with Balanced Body while there. Then just a mere 6 months into my NY adventure COVID-19 hit. Like the entire fitness industry, I transitioned to online classes and decided to utilise lockdown to continue my training. I became certified as a Holistic Health Coach with The Nutritious Life programme under celebrity nutritionist, Keri Glassman. The course has allowed me to work with clients to build meal plans, recommend lifestyle changes to help with bloating, energy levels, aiding weight loss and how to avoid the 3pm sugary snack!
Just over a year into moving over to NYC, I now can finally put all my passions under one brand. Enter The LH Approach! So whether your goal is building strength, getting back into an exercise routine, prenatal or post partum fitness or needing that extra push to curb those cravings, The LH Approach ticks all the boxes!
The Approach
The Approach is simple! Working out, eating delicious whole foods and feeling GREAT! My combination of low-impact workouts, (pilates, barre and dance cardio) helps to strengthen deep internal muscles, tone micro muscles and makes working out fun!
Alongside the classes I can create personalised nutrition plans from a holistic approach. This focuses on 'empowered eating' with whole foods, learning to listen to your body and to eat intuitively. I do not design 'diets', let's get that straight!
I do however, provide a way to help you 'consciously indulge', allowing you to enjoy yourself but not let it divert you from your goals. I can help manage issues such as inflammation, kick fatigue and provide tools to help curb those cravings. As well as the food and fitness, I also help you focus on YOU! Sleep management, stress levels and self care are all aspects which are part of your journey to discover a happier, healthier you.
